North of Mark isn't about me. That's the point of the name. Everything I'm building — the content, the business, the community — is meant to be bigger than any one person, including the one writing this.

I'm Mark Williams — a photographer and videographer based north of Atlanta, in Cherokee County, Georgia. For a while, that was the whole story: shoot weddings, shoot real estate, build a client business. But somewhere in that work I realized the thing I actually cared about wasn't the client list. It was becoming someone worth learning from — in mindset, fitness, diet, lifestyle, style, and business — and being honest about what that actually takes.
So that's what this is. A record of the transformation, in real time, not after the fact. The wins and the parts that didn't go as planned. Alongside it: the business getting built from zero, the style and gear that actually earn a place in daily life, and the north Georgia community this is all rooted in — because being part of something bigger starts with the people right around you before it means anything bigger than that.
